| Welcome to Peninsula Rural Fire Brigade
Peninsula Rural Fire Station can be found at Mirrabooka on the Morisset Peninsula Lake Macquarie, and is one of the over 2000 volunteer brigades which make up the NSW Rural Fire Service. The brigade is comprised of over 40 members from all walks of life, living in and around the Morisset Peninsula. Our Fire Fighters volunteer their time to respond to emergency situations primarily in the area, but can be called upon to assist with large scale operations anywhere in Australia.
Peninsula is classified as a Village 2 Brigade and it's role is far more varied then just fighting Bush Fires, our volunteers also assist the community with Car Accidents, House Fires, Oil Spills, Storm Damage and Flooding just to name a few.
Peninsula Rural Fire Station is open every Tuesday night from 7pm. If you have any questions about joining the NSW RFS, or on fire safety feel free to come and talk with our members at any time.
